Although the ‘KGF: Chapter 1 and 2’ emerged blockbusters in India, both parts of the franchise broke several box office records.
Recently, when the ‘KGF’ series and Ram Charan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu starter ‘Rangasthalam’ released in Japan, much to the bewilderment of the cinegoer’s surprise Chittibabu is faring well in Japan and it has proved a tough competitor to Rocky Bhai. In fact, with the release in Japan it has broken all time records of the Sukumar directorial.
‘KGF’ saw massive success in India and as the promotions of ‘Rangasthlam’ was less, it failed to reach the audience of other languages. But at Japan’s box office, it is scripting magic and Ram Charan’s mania has taken over the country. It hit the screens in India in 2018.
Reportedly, the film has earned a whopping Rs 14 lakh on its first day release in Japan and even broke records of Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s ‘RRR’.
For the unversed, ‘Rangasthlam’ got a much better response in advance booking too in Japan than Prasanth Neel’s directorial.
Anbarasi Duraipandian, the CEO of SPACEBOX Japan distributors of the film, in a statement, revealed that they at SPACEBOX released Rangasthalamm in Japan in about 50 screens and plan to release it in many theaters in the coming weeks.
Ram Charan holds a special place in the heart of the Japanese as the reaction to the film proves. It makes them extremely proud to bring a film like Rangasthalam to the audiences in Japan.
Interestingly, film is truly a cinematic masterpiece and it’s an honour for SPACEBOX to be able to release it in Japan.
