Financial crunch forces Kollywood actor Abbas to quit films and shift base to New Zealand. He works as a mechanic and taxi driver. His condition turned such that he was finding it extremely difficult to make his ends meet.

Abbas reveals that after his last film in 2015, he eventually decided to bid adieu to films. He wasn’t getting offers and he got bored and lost his interest in the acting arena.

Once Actor Abbas, was once adored as a romantic hero in Tamil cinema, but suddenly he disappeared from the industry for nearly eight years. He chose to retreat from the limelight and settled down in New Zealand with his family.

The actor experienced a rapid journey in the film world, rising to heartthrob status before facing a subsequent decline.

Within just a span of nine years following his debut, he transitioned from lead roles in beloved Tamil movies.

He opened up to the media over his various matters, that included his struggle with suicidal thoughts as a teenager and why he chose to distance himself from the film industry for the time being.

Recounting himself as an extremely private person, which explains his prolonged absence from social media, Abbas stated, “Nevertheless, he made an exception amidst the Covid period. While based in New Zealand, he utilised Zoom calls to connect with fans.His intention was to assist those in need, particularly those struggling with thoughts of suicide.

He could empathise with those feelings because he too, has experienced them firsthand.

Amid his childhood era, he reeled through a very rough phase and even decided to end his life following his failure in the10th grade. The exit of his girlfriend at the time intensified those thoughts.

However, something profound occurred that saw a transformation in him.While standing by the roadside, he literally tried to throw himself into a speeding car.

Even in his darkest moment, he found himself considering the well-being of another individual. He opened up everything to the media.

He never had interest in academics. But he strongly believed that it is unfair to judge or assess someone solely based on their academic achievements, as people may possess alternative talents and strengths. It is crucial for us to recognise and nurture those talents. In general, men often struggle to open up and tend to keep their emotions suppressed, enduring silent suffering.He desired to address these issues by establishing a connection with his fans, encouraging them to share their feelings and experiences.
