PM Modi to inaugurate 2 new Pune Metro stretches on Aug 1
The long-awaited inauguration of the Pune Metro stretch from Phugewadi to Shivajinagar is likely to take place on August 1.
Apart this stretch, another stretch, Garware College to Ruby Hall Clinic will also be inaugurated.
Officials pin hopes for the inauguration of both the stretches by PM Modi when he visits Pune on August 1 to be honoured with the Lokmanya Tilak award.
As per MahaMetro spokesersperson Hemant Sonawane the two stretches is likely to be inaugurated on August 1. It has been conveyed to the government that they are complete and ready for inauguration. But, as yet, no communication has been received from the state government. Infact, last year, PM had inaugurated the Metro service and laid the foundation stone of the Metro project.
