Indian Film “Sanju” based on actor Sanjay Dutt highest grosser in Pakistan, earns Rs 38 crore
Bollywood film “Sanju”emerges highest grosser in Pakistan in earning Rs 38 crore.
Reports, however, reveal it is just Sanju which has emerged the highest grossing film at the Pakistan box-office.
Reportedly, Bollywood films are banned in Pakistan but there are many Indian films which have done very good business at Pakistani box office. It will apparently a matter of surprise that the film which is the highest grosser at Pakistan’s box office was not of Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas or Allu Arjun. Ranbir Kapoor played the real role of Sanjay Dutt as “Sanju”.in the biopic of the actor helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and released in 2018. No doubt the film garnered good business at the box-office and Sanju surprised one and all by collecting Rs 34.75 crore on the first day at the box office.
Apart Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Paresh Rawal also feature in important roles in this film. Vicky Kaushal’s performance was lauded by not only his fans, but, also by the cinegoers.
For the unversed, the Rajkumar Hirani helmed Sanju was made in a budget of around Rs 100 crore and the film set many records at the box-office. The film in India earned Rs 342.57 and the worldwide collection of the film was a whopping
Rs 588.50 crore.
Apart from Sanju, many other Bollywood films have created a buzz in Pakistan. Among them, Dhoom 3 which made a splash in Pakistan by collecting Rs 25 crores, Bajrangi Bhaijaan Rs 23 crores, PK 22 crores and Dilwale 20 crores.
