Rains may return to Mumbai says Skymet Weather Team
Mumbai City is seeing a very
anticlimactic August in terms of rains as the financial hub has not even recorded 35 mm of rain so far with the monthly average being over 550 mm.
Nevertheless, in view of the low pressure area forming in Bay of Bengal and moving in land, coming closer to Madhya Pradesh, bringing south-westerlies along the coast Mumbai can expect rains
in the remaining days of August.
Skymet predicts moderate rainfall activity between August 22 and 26th. However, the city will not see the typical Mumbai rains and heavy showers or three digit rain for activities will remain far away. Nevertheless, the city may see double digit rainfall during this period.
