Inspired by the thumping success of Sunny Deol’s
Gadar 2, now filmmakers plan to turning their old blockbusters into a franchise.
Following JP Dutta’s Border 2 news, Showman Filmmaker with a Midas Touch, Subhash Ghai plans for a sequel to his 1993 blockbuster, Sanjay Dutt-starrer Khal Nayak.
Subhash Ghai, who earlier directed Sanjay Dutt in Vidhaata and Khal Nayak revealed to the media of his plan for Khal Nayak sequel with Sanjay Dutt.
He also revealed that Mukta Arts production house has produced iconic films like
Karma, Ram Lakhan, Saudagar, which are still relevant.
Coming to JP Dutta, a source reveals that the filmmaker has been planning for Border 2 and talks are going on to bring in a major Studio to back the project .
Source further added that the makers have identified a tale from the 1971 Indo-Pak war that is untold, and they are planning to adapt it for the big screen.
Border is among the most historic blockbusters of Indian Cinema and is easily a film that warrants a part two.
