That’s precisely what happened on the latest episode of KBC, when a question on Mirza Ghalib somehow got Amitabh Bachchan to remember his daughter-in-law, actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The episode featured rollover contestant Abhishek Garg, who was asked to name the poet associated with the Ballimaran locality of Old Delhi. He gave the correct answer, Mirza Ghalib, and won Rs 12.5 lakh. Amitabh was reminded of a lyric from the song “Kajra Re,” which referenced Ballimaran. Penned by Gulzar, the song was featured in the film Bunty Aur Babli, which starred Amitabh, his son Abhishek Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji. Aishwarya appeared in a guest role for a special dance number: “Kajra Re.”
On KBC, Amitabh asserted that
