Bollywood Legend Amitabh Bachchan and King Khan Shah Rukh Khan reacquainted
after 17 years for a new commercial and featured in the quirky advert of Everest, the iconic spice brand.
Interestingly, it was helmed by none other than R Balki.
Sharing his experience on having worked with the pillars of the film industry, Balki in a statement asserted that he thinks it’s for the first time ever that Amitji and SRK are featuring in a commercial together. It was an iconic shoot and both were like two buddies meeting on set even after years. Bachchan and his team were all elated but were even more, it was like shooting with two legendary kids. The shoot has never been ecstatic and Balki has never been sadder that it ended.
Both never for a moment behaved like big celebs, but were much cool and special together. He went on to thank Everest from the bottom of his heart for trusting him with this once-in-a-lifetime advert
Amitabh too expressed his happiness on getting the privilege to collaborate with SRK once again. He always believed in the power of simplicity, and this campaign encapsulates that essence perfectly. For Amitabh It was an experience enrich and to workshare screen space with Shahrukh Khan, and together, celebrated the joy of home-cooked meals
Earlier, the duo shared the screen in iconic movies like Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kabhi Alvida Na Ke
The film also stars fearless Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Sanya Malhotra.
n the coming months, he will be seen in director Rajkumar Hirani’s next Dunki opposite Taapsee Pannu.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in the upcoming Pan-India film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. The film is all set for a theatrical release on January 12, 2024. Apart, he also has director Ribhu Dasgupta’s next courtroom drama film
