Saqib Saleem played cricket with Virat Kohli; now popular actor Sister Huma Qureshi too popular actress
Bollywood has been noteworthy for producing some of the most entertaining sports-related films by concentrating on the enthusiasm of cricket fanatics.
Interestingly, Viewers have always heaped praises on enjoyable cricket movie, be it MSD’s biography or Lagaan. The actors playing these parts, such as Ranveer Singh and Sushant Singh Rajput, are responsible for leaving a mark on the audience.
Delhi-based Saqib, began his professional life as a cricket player, and represented Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir, before determining to take up a career in show business.
Notedly, Saqib Qureshi’s sister is actress Huma Qureshi. Saqib’s father Saleem Qureshi, is a restaurateur and owns a chain of ten eateries referred to as Saleem’s in Delhi.
Saqib had helped operate the restaurants while in college, however, he did not enjoy it. Saqib traveled to Mumbai at that point against his father’s wishes for him to remain in Delhi and pursue a Master of Business Administration degree. Around that time, Saqib had already begun modeling.
Saqib spent his entire life playing cricket and never considered acting.
Following his arrival in Mumbai, Saleem was fortunate to get few modeling jobs before transitioning into television commercials for brands.
“Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge” was Qureshi’s acting debut in which he played the lead.
He was showered with praises for his work in the movie and was nominated for a Filmfare Award in the Best Male Debut category.
Qureshi has several sponsorship agreements, works actively in charity, and plays for the “Mumbai Heroes” in the Celebrity Cricket League, an amateur men’s cricket league in India, in addition to appearing in movies.
Meanwhile as per Saqib while portraying a cricket player in Dishoom, he had played alongside legendary player Virat Kohli in Delhi. Along with Dishoom, Saqib appeared in Ranveer Singh’s 83 as vice-captain Mohinder Amarnath.
