A setback for Bollywood as Ravindra Peepat a writer and director passed away on Saturday, of heart attack.

He has been unwell for a while now and was related to producer Guddu Dhanoa

Peepat had directed movies like ‘Waaris’ which starred Smita Patil, Amrita Singh and Raj Babbar. He had also made ‘Lava’ which starred Dimple Kapadia and Raj Babbar along with Asha Parekh.

Some of his other directorial movies included, ‘Aao Pyaar Karen’, ‘Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi’, ‘Kaash Aap Hamare Hote’ among others.

Peepat was also the screenplay writer for the Randhir Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon starrer
‘Beewi O Beewi’.

Peepat had also made a Punjabi film called ‘Punjab Bolda’. In 2012, he had directed another Punjabi film starring Neeru Bajwa titled, ‘Pata Nahi Rabb Kehdeyan Rangan Ch Raazi’.
