Dharmendra visits Singer Kumar Sanu’s Durga Pandal event – talks over his on-screen kiss with Shabana Azmi
In the backdrop of the nine-day Navratri celebration, Dharmendra visited Singer Kumar Sanu’s Durga Pandal in Lokhandwala and expressed his happiness to be there, mentioning his love for Bengalis and how festivals bring people closer.
He also reminisced his experience in Kolkata and working in a rare Bengali film called ‘Paari’ released in 1966 which also featured Dilip Kumar in a cameo. He also talked about his grandson’s film and his upcoming project with filmmaker Sriram Raghavan.
He thanked everyone who wished Hema Malini on her birthday and mentioned that he doesn’t celebrate his own birthday. The evening ended with Kumar Sanu singing a song for Dharmendra. The veteran actor also reminisced on his stay in Hotel Grand. When he was asked about his grandson Rajveer Deol’s film Dono the octogenarian said, that if good films are made they will always touch people’s hearts.
He also referenced his on-screen kiss with Shabana Azmi in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and added, that his grandson has kissed several times on screen
but, his single kiss ended up making so much noise.
