India rushes humanitarian aid to populace at Gaza Strip amid Israel- Hamas war

In a new development, and in the midst of the Israel-Palestine war, India reportedly on Sunday emerged the latest Nation to rush aid to the civilian population of Gaza Strip facing blockade and Israeli military operation.

It is learnt that the relief material will be consigned to
Egypt’s El Arish airbase located close to Gaza border.

“An IAF C-17 flight loaded with nearly 6.5 tonnes of medical aid and 32 tonnes of disaster relief material for the Palestine citizens jets-off for El-Arish airport in Egypt.

As per official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, the material comprises essential life-saving medicines, surgical items, tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, sanitary utilities, water purification tablets among other necessary items.

Notedly, Palestine Adnan Abu Alhaija has articulated his word of appreciation to the gesture saying the blockade of the last fortnight had restricted entry of essential items such as oxygen into the Gaza Strip.

Ambassador Al Haija further asserted that the people of Palestine will truly laud the Indian aid as they are in need of urgent help following nearly 15 days Israeli blockade which immobiled electricity, food, medicine and oxygen.
India is despatcging aid even sans asking, which infact, is is a great initiative

The Ambassador further added
that several countries namely Egypt, Turkey and the U.S. have commenced despatching help to Gaza through crossing the border and Indian goods are expected to reach Gaza through the same route.

India has reiterated its support for the two-state solution to end the Israel- Palestine conflict since it flared up on October 7.
