Rupali Ganguly is no newcomer to the entertainment industry. She is the daughter of renowned film director late Anil Ganguly.

It may sound as a surprise, but it’s a fact that Rupali Ganguly charged whopping Rs.3 lakhs per episode.

According to Rupali, at that time around the Casting couch existed in the industry, and maybe some people never came across it, but Rupali was a victim.

No doubt, as of now the television actors are highly remunerated equivalent to the Bollywood celebrities.

Before venturing into her career on television, the Rupali had cted in a few Hindi films with the backing of her father Anil Ganguly, who was a popular director and screenwriter in Bollywood.

She switched to the small screen since she wasn’t fully prepared for the Bollywood films since she faced the decided not to pursue her casting couche in the film industry in her early days.

Over her interaction with the media, Rupali affirmed that there was one time when she didn’t do well in films and TV was a choice made.

At that time around, Rupali did feel small but today she feels very proud. Her Anupamaa gave her that stature and position which she had always dreamt of . So Anupamaa is like life-changing for her.

Besides Anupamaa, Rupali also played Monisha Sarabhai in the cult sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, which also featured hugely talented actors like Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, and Rajesh Kumar in lead roles.

Rupali had also participated in the first-ever season of the controversial reality television show Bigg Boss hosted by Arshad Warsi.
