Esha Deol rang in her birthday on 2 Nov- shares pictures performing havan with mom Hema and daughters
Esha Deol celebrated her birthday on 2 November at her Juhu residence.
She performed the sacred havan with mom Hema Malini and her two daughters Radhya and Miraya and extensively on the OTT of late, and shared multiple pictures from the celebration on Instagram.
Sharing pictures, Esha wrote on Instagram, “Love & gratitude to all for the lovely birthday wishes & blessings coming my way. As always started my morning with a havan at home with my mother & my darling daughters.”
Meanwhile, Esha has been working extensively on the OTT of late.
In an exclusive media interaction, Esha revealed on the roles she desires to do hereon, adding that female-oriented films were there back in the day also.
She remembers her mother (Hema Malini), Jaya Bachchan, Rekha and other actresses pulling off solid characters and being appreciated. That phase is back and today Women are getting prominent and strong roles that hold some substance. They have something good to do. It is more fulfilling as an actor. This is what resonates with her now, considering the stage and phase she is into.
In the past, she has had her share of teenybopper roles and it was fine back then but now, she wants to do something that she enjoys and resonates with.
She wants her work to reach out to people. It should entertainingly send a strong message. That’s what she is focusing on currently.
She also shared her wish to do pan-India and multilingual films. She is keen on exploring pan-Indian films as well.
She speaks Tamil as that’s her mother tongue and fluent in the language. Pan-India films are the way forward and it’s one big industry that’s finally coming together. If she gets a good chance, she will give it a thought.
Recently, Esha’s short film,
Ek Duaa, received a special mention at the National Film Awards 2023. She felt wonderful to be honoured on a huge level, and for a film like
Ek Duaa which deals with female foeticide. It is a big achievement for her to get recognised at that level. It was the first film she produced and acted in and it was a small effort that she has made towards such a big cause. Being recognised at such a big level makes her realise that she have done something right.
