Ranjana Nachiyar TN BJP Leader arrested for slapping and abusing students-Video goes viral
The incident occurred at the Kundrathur in Kancheepuram where the BJP leader is also accused of abusing the conductor and the driver of the government bus. Ranjana Nachiyar was arrested for interrupting government officials from executing their duties.
Actress and Tamil Nadu and BJP leader Ranjana Nachiyar was arrested by Tamil Nadu’s Mangadu Police on Saturday after her video of slapping and verbally abusing minor school and college going students went viral on social media.
Reportedly, the ugly incident occurred at the Kundrathur in Kancheepuram where the BJP leader is also accused of abusing the conductor and the driver of the government bus without notwithstanding that misbehaving with Government Servants in uniform is an offence and attracts legal action.
It is learnt that Ranjana Nachiyar stopped an overcrowded government bus.
in which the students were performing dangerous stunts that could have turned fatal for them. The video shows the students hanging on the entrance of the speeding bus and also few of them travelling on the rooftop of the bus.
She slapped the students and
screamed at the bus driver and conductor for putting the lives of the passengers to stake
Spectators reveal that Ranjana after noticing the students travelling in the dangerous conditions stopped the bus and shouted at the driver and asked the students to deboard the bus and started yelling at them.
After this she entered into an argument with the conductor of the bus and a police case was registered against the BJP member.
Police waited outside the house of the actor for over half an hour
As per Police reports, they waited outside the house of the actress. After over half an hour, she answered the door.
A commotion followed on the entry by the police at her residence to arrest her. This was captured on the CCTV and the and the video of the drama went viral on social media.
Ranjana demanded an arrest warrant from the police and also alleged that male police officers banged on the windows of her house while she was changing her clothes inside her house. The actress was arrested and has been taken to the Mangadu police station.
BJP leader CT Ravi slammed MK Stalin-led government for the arrest of the actress and BJP Leader.
Taking to his official social media account, he wrote that he strongly condemns the arrest of BJP Tamil Nadu leader Thirumati Ranjana Nachiyar by the police for no apparent fault of hers.
If someone has to be arrested, then it is the state chief minister, transport minister and the officers who are responsible for school children travelling on the footboard of buses putting their lives at great risk.
He demanded MK Stalin to ensure the immediate release of Ranjana.
He also said, that as a responsible citizen, Ranjana exposed the failure of the so called “Dravidian Model” that triggered immense hardships to Tamil Makkal.
