Amitabh Bachchan recalls bicycling from Delhi to Chandigarh in search of college admission since not getting admission in Delhi Colleges.

Amitabh Bachchan graduated in 1962 with a BSc degree from
Kirori Mal College Delhi University. But studying science was more of a compulsion than a choice for the superstar.

In the midst of a latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, senior Bachchan revealed that he took BSc because he wasn’t getting admission anywhere. He even moved to Chandigarh, on a bicycle, for his graduation but nothing worked out there.

While interacting with Shaikh Ajmat, a contestant of KBC 15, the Senior Bachchan shared, that he wasn’t getting admission and was searching for colleges in Delhi. Someone had told him that he would get admission in Chandigarh. So, he took to his bicycle to reach Chandigarh. Later, after searching more he finally got admission in Delhi. He went in for BSc and the first lecture was enough for him to understand that this isn’t his forte.

The actor added he “mugged” up the help books to make sure he cleared his exams and completed his graduation. He shared that after mugging up guide books he survived the three years and graduated with a BSc. In the midst of an earlier episode, the actor had also revealed that he once failed his Physics exams.

He then said he was “horrified” to study BSc and added that it wasn’t easy as he took the wrong subject. Somehow he tolerated it for three years. Then he ppeared again and cleared it.

Before emerging as an actor, Amitabh had worked in a mining company near Kolkata. Thereafter, he moved to Mumbai, the ‘Mecca’ of Bollywood films and started working in the movies in 1969. It is been for more than five decades that he has been successfully entertaining the audience.

The Legend will next be seen in Nag Ashwin’s directorial Kalki 2898 AD, also featuring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. The film hits the theatres in 2024.
