After winning the World Cup 2023 trophy, Mitchell Marsh posed with feet over the cup and beer in hand.

This hasn’t gone well with the Netizens who sharply reacted by condemning it harshly and that it was disrespectful.

Notedly, the photo of Mitchell Marsh is doing the rounds on internet.

Australia handed a six-wicket defeat to Team India in the World Cup 2023 final at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.

But, the plus point with Team India is that they remained unbeaten until the final.

Sadly, yet again they got cold feet and wilted under pressure to miss yet another chance to clinch the ICC trophy. The last time they won the ICC Championship trophy was in 2013.

Regardless Virat Kohli and KL Rahul’s fifties, India posted a modest total of 240 after Mitchell Starc’s sensational three-fer in the World Cup final.

Gavaskar has come down heavily on Rohit Sharma for a mighty hit which he could have avoided because of the field placement set by the Aussie captain. His dismissal was the turning point for India’s defeat.

All said, Australia didn’t get off to best of the start after early dismissals of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith. However, Travis Head with a robust century and Marnus Labuschagne with a steady fifty took the game away from India. But, Aussies need to lauded for their outstanding fielding. They never let off any balls to the boundary and saved 40 runs.

It is also learnt that the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad was made to suit the Aussies. And that the Grand Finale was totally commercial from revenue point. While BCCI made huge money so too Star Sports. This was possible because the stadium was much bigger than Wankhede and had the final been at Wankhede, the revenue wouldn’t have been much.
