Devotees violate temple norms
Wear “inappropriate” clothes
It is being observed that several devotees visit temples in short or flashy clothes notwithstanding to maintain the sanctity, etiquette and culture of the temple.
Sadly,Devotees are forgetting the Indian Culture and are following the west.
Though few of the temples have put up notices asking devotees to dress ‘decently’ and avoid ‘inappropriate’ clothing choices while visiting a shrine, yet this continues particularly in Mumbai. In Kerala and Tamil Nadu the temple authorities are very strict. No devotee is allowed to enter the temple in ‘inappropriate’ dress.
The temple authorities must now take up the issue seriously to maintain the sanctity etiquette and culture of the temple.
