Truckers rescind strike following government’s assurance on contentious law
With the trucker’s strike having heavily impacted on fuel supply and essential items such as milk and vegetables, the government reached out to the agitating transporters and after a late evening meeting amidst Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla and All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) representatives and his assurance broke the deadlock and the strike has been called off.
