The Navi Mumbai International Airport (NAMIA) set to be the first in the country with a 100% green footprint in its first phase
will be operational by March 2025. The project, valued at eighteen thousand crores will transform Mumbai’s connectivity landscape.
Plans are afoot for hovercraft links from Colaba and cargo connectivity from Raigad in Phase 2.
The International Airport will pioneer automated passenger movement across its 1600 hectares.
In line with PM Modi’s GatiShakti vision, the airport will have comprehensive road, rail, and metro connectivity and also will be accessible via NH 4B, the Sion Panvel Highway, and Atal Setu.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia hails the International Airport, a significant infrastructure development in India and a national pride project.
