As per reports in a section of the media, Nitesh Tiwari plans to rope in Bobby Deol as
Kumbkaran and Lara Dutta as
Kaikeyi in his epic ‘Ramayana’.
After the late Filmmaker Ramanand Sagar made ‘Ramayan’ , and now with the emergence of web series OTT platform, couple of producers are attempting to go for it. Infact Ramayan has become the much talked about epic.
One such filmmaker is Nitesh Tiwari who plans to make
‘Ramayana’ and plans to rope in
Bobby Deol as Kumbkaran and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi.

Notedly, Ranbir Kapoor and Yash are coming on board and there’s only so much that everyone’s been talking about.
In 2020 Madhu Mantena first confirmed his plans on the Indian epic along with Nitesh Tiwari directing the film. And now, reports have it that
A source close to the development reveals that Nitesh Tiwari wants to cast actors who are apt to play the characters belonging to the most timeless tale of Indian History. .
The source further reveal that Bobby is yet to get back to Nitesh Tiwari on Ramayana. He might or might not do the film, and will take a call in the next 2 months.
The actor post the success of Animal, is right now flooded with offers from across the industry and will be making his choices over the coming few months.
After over a year of scripting, casting and prep, it is almost time for the filmmaker to take his ambitious venture that sees Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.
It is also learnt that the magnum opus is set to mount the sets on March 2 in Goregaon’s Film City.
The cast and crew were recently informed that March 2 is the big day. Nitesh seems to have charted out a long schedule in Film City.
In the first part of the leg, Ranbir and Sai will shoot the dialogue-heavy scenes. The major crowd sequences, including some war portions, will be shot in April and May. The idea is to wrap these scenes before the onset of monsoon in the city.
