Padma Vibhushan honour for legendary actor Chiranjeevi on Republic Day
As per reports Levendary actor Chiranjeevi is to be honoured with the highest civilian award ‘Padma Vibhushan’ on Republic Day, 26 January. Earlier he was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2006. It is presented to people for exceptional and distinguished service.
Recently there was a buzz that PM Modi will be doing the honours on the actor who is not only recognised for his acting but also his philanthropy.
The Telugu actor has left no stone unturned and has tried his hands at everything that Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films have to offer.
Reportedly, the actor runs the Chiranjeevi Blood and Eye Banks which has made thousands of blood and eye donations. In the midst of COVID-19, the actor also launched an ambulance service to provide.necessary medical facilities to people who were affected by COVID-19.
Infact, his initiative won for him widespread recognition.
People heaped praises on the actor for using his money and influence in the right way.
The actor has been a part of over 160 films in his illustrious career. Previously, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2006. He was last seen in ‘Waltair Veeraiya’. Currently, he is working on his 156th film which is titled ‘Viswambhara.’
