Mumbai all set for inaugural Mumbai Festival 2024 – vibrant nine-day celebration
Mumbai is all set for the inaugural Mumbai Festival 2024, a vibrant nine-day celebration outlying renowned events like the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival and the Mumbai Marathon.
As per industrialist Anand Mahindra, chairperson of the festival’s advisory committee,
the events slated to take place amidst January 20 and 28, will use the “bear hug model.
The festival backed by Rs.25 crore investment from the Maharashtra government ensures immersive experiences, projecting Mumbai’s essence through art, culture, sports, and fashion.
The theme, “Everyone’s Invited,” reflects the diverse and inclusive spirit of the city.
Citable highlights include Mumbai Walks, where iconic figures pay homage to local heroes like dabbawalas, police, bus drivers, and civic employees.
The festivities extend to Happy Streets, Yoga By The Bay, Kidzathon, movie screenings, and a shop-and-win festival covering retail and dining outlets.
Girish Mahajan, the state tourism minister, emphasized that Mumbai Festival 2024 is not merely an event but a transformative experience, poised to emerge as one of India’s largest annual celebrations.
Meanwhile, the festival unfolds across various locations, ensuring exceptional joy displaying the vibrant spirit and rich heritage of Mumbai.
