Notedly, the Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘ Fighter’ has received the seal of approval from Maj Gen (Dr) GD Bakshi SM, VSM (retd).

Taking to his X, Army veteran took to X, to reveal that he has watched the Siddharth Anand film and found it as a ‘befitting tribute’ to the air warriors.

He went on to heap praises on Hrithik’s performance in the film saying that he gave Tom Cruise a run for his money, referring to Tom Cruise’s blockbuster franchise Top Gun. The review received a reaction from Hrithik Roshan.

In response to Major’s tweet,Hrithik wrote that it’s an honour to receive this feedback from the Major and thanked him. Sir. Thank you so much and to which the Major wrote that to Keep up the Great Work Tiger.

Adding that he doesn’t want justice to combat roles. Hope to see u in many more. The boys in uniform need all the encouragement they can get.

Director Siddharth Anand also reacted to his review. Thanking the Major, he wrote that his appreciation validates their labour of love.” The Army veteran replied, “Hi Sid. In ancient times Birds used to go from village to village singing Songs of Valour of heroes. That must not stop. Glad u are celebrating our heroes and doing it well.”

Released on January 25, Fighter features Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead and revolves around the Indian Air Force giving a befitting reply to the terrorism in Pakistan. Film also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Talat Aziz, Pradum Shukla, and Pradum Jaykar in pivotal roles.

The film has collected over
Rs 170 crore at the Indian box office as of now.
