Sheikh Mohd Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi-unveils UPI RuPay card service
PM Modi, on arrival in Abu Dhabi met the UAE Prez
Sheikh Mohd Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. He also unveiled UPI RuPay card service.
This will facilitate seamless cross-border transactions between the two countries.
This follows the MoU on interlinking payment and messaging systems signed amidst PM’s visit to Abu Dhabi
in July last year.
He will also inaugurate the BAPS Mandir, the first Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi, on February 14.
It is learnt that the two sides are likely to ink several agreements to shore up cooperation in several key areas.
Earlier he was welcomed by President Nahyan and was given a guard of honour on his arrival in the country. He was later accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Qasr Al Watan, the Presidential Palace.
The leaders will then hold meetings to take forward the bilateral strategic partnership.
This is the Prime Minister’s seventh visit to the UAE since 2015.
