Sohail Khan owned Celebrity Cricket League kicks-off in Sharjah on Saturday 23 Feb
The 10th edition of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) kicks-off in the United Arab Emirates
Notedly, the next few days will be a witness to some Bollywood actors trading their place in front of the camera for the cricket grounds of Sharjah with a match between Mumbai Heroes and Kerala Strikers.

Sohail shares that Salman stands as their mentor, as somebody who promotes them on his social media platforms.
Sohail shares that if he wins he he will also attend the first few games, and if we enter the semis, Salman will attend that match too.
Ever since the inception of amateur cricket league in 2011, Salman extended his support to the endeavour that comprises eight teams and has actors from different film industries exhibiting their cricketing skills.
However, Sohail rules out the idea of the superstar playing for Mumbai Heroes, adding that among all of them, he plays cricket the best. Once he had attended their practice session, but he got injured and had to cancel two days of shooting.
It’s a heavy price to pay being a superstar. For Sohail, it is more than enough that Salman bhai is a part of CCL and supports them.
Sohail further reveals that the actors start training two months prior to the commencement of the league. They train slowly with our coaches, keeping their age in mind. Any injury on field can hamper their acting commitments..In one season, Sonu Sood had injured his leg, and as a result, couldn’t shoot a film for two months. It made the league realise that however passionate they are about cricket, which they cannot mess with tneir primary profession.
