Kareena believes that her co-stars and leading ladies viz Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut and Vidya Balan have enhanced the position of women in the film industry just ot just in terms of roles but in pay too.

At a recent ABP conclave, Kareena articulated how these ‘strong women’, including herself, have taken a stand and are helping transform the narrative for other women as well.

Elaborating on the difference in the treatment of female actors now in comparison to years ago, the actress shared, that she thinks it has changed because a lot of strong women have done a lot of strong parts in films.

They have done films that have been loved by the audiences… Be it leading actresses like Kangana Ranaut, Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone, or herself,they have always made efforts to stand for roles that have escalated above just being there in the film.

So, all of us have changed a lot of dynamics on many levels, like making a demand for a certain role, a certain fee, or position.
