Actress Raushni Srivastava dedicates her journey in showbiz to her late beloved father, S.K. Srivastava. She speaks to KV Raman, Senior Correspondent, Nation Now.
She says, “My father is my inspiration. He passed away back in December 2020. I feel he is watching over me like a guardian angel.Papa used to watch all my performances, big or small. He always encouraged me and appreciated my best performances. I remember he loved my performance of a lawyer in a regional language Rajasthani film “Aulaad” directed by Mohan Singh Rathod. He also loved my performances in a few shorts, “The Long Drive,” “Choices,” and “Coffee & Secrets,” which are all steaming on the leading OTT platform directed by Ravie Ravan Kathuria. Papa also loved my performance in the short “Mr. & Mrs. Charlie,” streaming on the leading OTT platform, directed by Amar Jeet. And this short film reached finalist at FilmFare short films award.”
Raushni has received accolades for her performances in a few short films “The Long Drive”, “Mr. & Mrs. Charlie”, “My Mom” in a leading actress category from international festivals.
Raushni recently made her singing debut and was featured in the music videos “Love The Mystery” and “Don’t Don’t.” She is proud and grateful that “Don’t Don’t,” directed by Abhishek Kumar Singh, won fourth place in the music video #closeup category at the London Music Video Festival, and she won the bronze medallion at the Global Music Video Awards in the music video category.
Actress Raushni Srivastava best remembered for making her acting debut with the TV show, ‘Raghukul Reet Sada Chali Aayi’ featuring superstar Rajesh Khanna, is also known for TV shows like “Koi toh hai ardhnareshwar”, “Zindagi ke rang”, “Yeh Chanda Kanoon hai” and recently released film “Tyypes of L❤️VE” streaming on Amazon US, UK and Japan and on Tata Play Binge in India.
Raushni says, “ ‘Tyypes of Love’ is very close to my heart.” “Tyypes of Love” marks the writing debut of Raushni and the film’s dialogue was praised.
“Tyypes of Love” stars Raushni herself portraying the role of Amy opposite actor Saarrh Kkashyap portraying Arjun alongside Ram Bhadouria, Vaibhavi Vermah, Seema Pandey, Veer Gurjar and Sharmila Goenka in major roles.
Also, The film, she says, was made on a minuscule budget and she is thankful to her friends who believed in her and supported her vision.
Raushni Srivastava’s next project, a film about mental abuse entitled “Kalika,” is in post production.
Raushni is grateful to director Dhiraj Singh for giving her the opportunity to portray the role of Mary Jose in the upcoming film,tentatively titled, “Main aaungee Hawaa Banke.”

”It was like a dream come true when my book of small write-ups “My Heart Out” got nominated at the @goldenawardsgba Golden Book Awards and I was awarded on 17th February, which marks my Papa’s birthday in heaven. Most importantly, I was felicitated by the very beautiful Bhagyashree Ma’am!”
