Soundarya Rajinikanth dabbles into OTT with Prime Video series ‘Gangs – Kuruthi Punal’
Veteran actor Rajnikant’s daughter filmmaker Soundarya Rajinikanth who gears up to helm Amazon Prime series. Soundarya known for directing films like Kochadaiiyaan and Velaiilla Pattadhari 2, will be creative producer on the Tamil series, Gangs– Kuruthi Punal.
The period action drama is produced under the banner of May6 Entertainment LLP and directed by Noah. It features Ashok Selvan, Nimisha Sajayan, Nasser, Ritika Rao and Easwari Rao.
Soundarya revealed to a news agency that with many stories to be narrated in so many different genres and in so many different languages, producers and filmmakers like us are thankful for the OTT space. It gives us much opportunity to expand like many things. So very excited to be here presenting the show.
Soundarya recently unveiled the first look of the show.
With the release date of the show yet to be announced, it is about a cartel in the 70s, adapting it with the changes happening over time. The makers have some deep-rooted characters played by veterans that she is honoured to associate with Naseer and Sathyaraj. She feels very proud and eagerly awaits for all to watch the show.
