Vashu Bhagnani gears up for release of Akshay-Tiger starrer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’
Afore the release of the
much-anticipated film on 10 April, producer Vashu Bhagnani
shares his pressure of box-office on his next biggie, bringing on board South star Prithviraj Sukumaran for the antagonist role and working with Ali Abbas Zafar.
A bout Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, he said, that it all depends from film to film. Both are actors par excellence.
they are both brilliant actors. Ofcourse there is no example to cite of actor like Shah Rukh Khan. Earlier, since 5-7 years none of his films proved successful. But, he bounced back in 2023 with three films – Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki all emerging super-duper hits.
He went on to add that It’s not the fault of the actors. It’s the timing, how the film has shaped up and whether the film has acceptance. These factors matter more.
As in the case of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, the title itself is so big and even the actors are big and the same applies to the director. The action grand and the music also in sync.
He feels God has been with this film. It wasn’t easy to get such casting and mount the film on such a huge scale. By God’s grace, we succeeded. This film also has travelled a lot – Scotland, UK, UAE, Jordan and India. And apart from the actors and director, the rest of the team was equally fantastic.
He wasn’t much aware of di rector Abbas Ali Zafar that well. He was in touch with his son. When he used to see his earlier works like Gunday, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, he used to always think that how good a director he is.
Meanwhile, things fell in place and he feels lucky to have someone like him on board for
‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
