SS Karthikey re-unites with father SS Rajamouli for next project with Sukumar and Ram Charan.
This will be for the second time that Ram Charan will share screen space with Sukumar after 2018 released film Rangasthalam. The announcement was made on Holi festival.
While re-sharing Ram’s announcement post on X, Karthikeya went on to reveal that the actor spoke to him over the opening sequence of his next while on shoot for RRR.
He wrote, that he thinks amidst the climax shoot of RRR, he just randomly opened up on doing a film with Sukumar and started elaborating on the opening sequence of the film. For almost 5 minutes, resulting in his mind getting blown.
As a matter of fact, Karthikeya was much impressed ever since, he has been waiting for the film’s announcement so he can talk about it, writing, ever since he mentioned it, he has been waiting for the film’s announcement.
Assuming it to be a blockbuster already, it will emerge as one of the iconic sequences. He hopes that he won’t leak much about it.
Ram has had tasted commercial success but the film that showed him in a new light and transformed the trajectory of his career is Sukumar’s 2018 film ‘Rangasthalam’ in which, he essayed the role as a hearing-impaired man called Chitti Babu, someone whose life turns upside down when he witnesses his brother’s death.
The film was a derivation from everything both Ram and Sukumar had done so far. Sukumar was recognised for his urban drama, while this film showcased that he could pull off rustic films too. The same went for Ram, who had never played a role like that in his career. The film was a massive success when it released.
On the workfront, Ram is as of now on shoot for Shankar’s ‘Game Changer’ in which he plays an IAS officer. The actor recently shot in Visakhapatnam for the film with Kiara Advani.
He is all set to shoot for a film with director Buchi Babu Sana and Janhvi Kapoor. Sukumar is shooting for the sequel of Pushpa: The Rise, titled Pushpa: The Rule with Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
