PVR INOX to celebrate Jaya Bachchan’s 76th Birthday with re-release of Silsila
The actress, who turns 76 on April 9, was last seen in Karan Johar’s romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023)
It comes as a matter of pride that plans are afoot by multiplex chain, PVR INOX to celebrate Jaya Bachchan’s 76th birthday with a special re-release of her iconic movie Silsila from April 5 to April 9.
This was announced by the multiplex chain on social media on Thursday, adding that tickets for the film will start at Rs 112.
PVR Cinemas wrote alongside a poster of the film. The theatrical release is on 14, 1981
Jaya, who turns 76 on April 9, essayed the role of Shobha Malhotra, a woman entangled in a complex web of relationships and heartbreaks, in Silsila (1981). Directed and produced by Yash Chopra, the film also stars Shashi Kapoor (Squadron Leader Shekhar Malhotra), Amitabh Bachchan (Amit Malhotra) and Rekha (Chandni).
On the workfront, Jaya was last seen in Karan Johar’s romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), which starred Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.
