After Amitabh Bachchan’s honour now it’s the turn of actor Randeep Hooda to be honoured with the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award at a ceremony held at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyagrih.
This honor comes in recognition for his remarkable contributions to Indian cinema and his recent film “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar”.
After the honour done for his cinematic Journey and amid
articulating his gratitude, Hooda shared his sentiments, stating, that he feels honored to receive this award from a family closely associated with Savarkar.”
The actor’s portrayal of the influential figure Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the biopic has won widespread acclaim.
The Randeep Hooda directorial “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” offers a cinematic portrayal of one of India’s most influential and controversial figures during the struggle for independence. The biopic retells the story of India’s armed revolution for freedom, shedding light on Savarkar’s pivotal role.
Earlier Singer Usha Mangeshkar, a member of the renowned Mangeshkar family, had honoured the Senior Bachchan in recognition of his iconic legacy.
The event served as a tribute to talent and dedication in the Indian entertainment industry, honoring individuals who have left an indelible mark through their work. The Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award holds significant recognition within the entertainment fraternity.
Randeep Hooda’s journey in “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” has been a labor of passion. The biopic, produced by Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Randeep Hooda, and Yogesh Rahar, features Hooda in the lead role, alongside Ankita Lokhande and Amit Sial.
Released on March 22 in both Hindi and Marathi languages, the film offers a unique perspective on India’s quest for independence.
