Rakesh Roshan adds 2nd Maybach Mercedes S580 to his garage
Mercedes Mayback has emerged as the status symbol car for the Bollywood Celebrities.

And the recent owner of this luxury Sedan is none other than Bollywood’s famous actor-turned filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, father of Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan.
The picture of Rakesh Roshan taking delivery of the new Maybach has been shared on Instagram. It comes courtesy of Autohangar. The post has been shared with the caption,
“We are thrilled to share the joyous moment of delivering the exquisite Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class to the legendary Rakesh Roshan.
The picture shows Rakesh Roshan with a gift hamper from the Mercedes Benz dealership and he is spotted standing next to his Mercedes Maybach S580 sedan. This car has been opted by him in the classy shade of Designo Diamond White Bright shade. Along with him, the sales representative from the dealership also posed for the delivery picture.
The Maybach S-Class is rated as the flagship sedan sold by the brand in the country. It is offered in two variants – the S580 opted by Rakesh Roshan and the more expensive S680. The S580 is priced at Rs 2.71 crore. Meanwhile, the S680 is priced at Rs 3.43 crore.
Both of these sedans come with a ton of features and use the most exquisite leather, wood, and metals to add to their luxury appeal. The highlights of the Maybach sedans are their executive rear seats, which are nothing short of a first-class airline. These seats can recline between 19 and 44 degrees and they get a retractable leg rest.
Other luxury features include a multi-contour seat massager, heated armrests, seat ventilation, and even a calf massager for the rear seat passengers. With the executive seating package, these sedans can be had with wooden trims, a full-length center console, deployable trays, a champagne cooler, and custom solid metal flutes.
The main difference between the Mercedes Maybach S580 and S680 is their drivetrains. The S580 comes equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine with EQ Boost. This is a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. It generates a total power of 496 bhp and a peak torque of 700 Nm.
It also comes with a four-wheel-drive system and a 9-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the Maybach S680 comes powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine. This engine delivers a maximum power of 604 bhp and a peak torque of 900 Nm. It gets the same transmission and four-wheel-drive system.
Hrithik Roshan also owned a Maybach Sedan.
Although he has now sold it, Hrithik Roshan used to be a proud owner of a Mercedes Maybach S-Class. Earlier he owned a previous generation model, S600 variant. It was also finished in the same white color and came powered by a 6.0-liter V12 petrol engine that produces 523 bhp and 830 Nm of torque.
