Saif Ali Khan and filmmaker Siddharth Anand catch up after nearly 17-years.Siddharth Anand taking to social media on May 27 shared a photo from the Budapest sets, reconvening with the actor whom he considers his “first hero.” Even as the official name of the project wasn’t revealed, it’s reported to be the upcoming heist thriller Jewel Thief.

Further adding Siddharth took to social media and wrote, “Back on set with his first hero! How can nothing change? Haha! Love you Saif!”

The project which mounted the sets in February 2024, features Saif Ali Khan alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Nikita Dutta.

The Robbie Grewal’s directorial Jewel Thief ensures to be an action-packed thrill ride.

Produced by Siddharth Anand under his Marflix Pictures banner, this marks his second venture into production after the high-budget action film Fighter.

While details on the plot are still under wraps, reports suggest that the core of Jewel Thief hinges on a thrilling clash amid Saif Ali Khan and Ahlawat’s characters.

The film’s screenplay, penned by Grewal, Anand, and Sambit Mishra, ensures an incessant
battle of wits set against the backdrop of a high-stakes heist. Industry insiders have been abuzz with speculation ever since news broke that Netflix secured the rights to the film for a reported sum of Rs. 60 crore.

Saif Ali Khan and Siddharth Anand’s earlier associations Salaam Namaste and Ta Ra Rum Pum were commercial successes.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan will also be seen in Jr. NTR’s upcoming Telugu film Devara: Part 1, also starring Janhvi Kapoor. It is set for October 2024 release.
