Ajay Rakul starrer De De Pyaar De 2 Kicks-off shoot-Anil Kapoor gives first clap
The sequel to the 2019 hit film De De Pyaar De, titled De De Pyaar De 2, has officially kicked-off shoot with a traditional Mahurat Puja ceremony. Actor Anil Kapoor graced the event and gave the ceremonial Muhurat clap.
De De Pyaar De 2 is Anshul Sharma’s directorial. It is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, alongside Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.
The earlier film starred Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh in an unconventional love story. Devgn essayed a character of a man in his 50s who falls for a woman in her 20s, essayed by Singh. Tabu portrayed Devgn’s ex-wife, adding another layer of complexity to the narrative.
Even as Tabu has officially confirmed her return for the sequel, rumours suggest she might reprise her role.
Notedly Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgn earlier shared screen space in the 2019 comedy
“Total Dhamaal”.
De De Pyaar De 2 is planned for May 1, 2025 release. This coincides with Maharashtra Day and International Workers’ Day.
