Central Crime Branch on Monday, June 3, arrested Telugu actress Hema for her denial to attend a rave party in Bengaluru. Earlier, she had tested positive for drugs.

According to reports the arrest comes after 86 attendees at the rave party tested positive for drug use at a farmhouse in Electronic City on May 19 and 20. Subsequently, the crime branch raided the location, seizing 17 MDMA pills and cocaine.

Reportedly, besides Hema, the other Telugu actor who was a part of the party was also arrested.

Hema’s arrest comes as a surprise, considering the actress had earlier denied her presence at the rave party.

Hema clarified that a few days ago, a video went viral on social media in which she claimed that she was at her farmhouse in Hyderabad. She was not at the rave party in Bangalore but was enjoying herself at the farmhouse in Hyderabad and has nothing to do with the Bengaluru rave party.

As per news agency reports, the rave party was organised on May 19 at a farmhouse near Electronic City. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) had summoned Hema to its office on Monday. Sources said she deposed before her interrogators wearing a burqa to hide her identity. She was arrested for her r unsatisfactory replies.

CCB sources reveal that the
rave party was organised on the pretext of a birthday party where most of the people had come from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,

“There were a few people from Bengaluru as well, they added. Based on a tip-off, the CCB raided the location and collected the blood samples of those who attended the party. The blood test reports later confirmed that 86 people, including Hema, had tested positive for narcotics, police sources had said.

Sources further reveal a total of 103 people participated in the party. and the participants included 73 men and 30 women. Police seized MDMA (Ecstacy) pills, MDMA crystals, hydro cannabis, cocaine, high-end cars, DJ equipment including sound and lighting worth Rs 1.5 crore during the raid.
