JDU claim INDIA Bloc offered Nitish Kumar PM post
After Lok Sabha election results were announced, it has come to light that INDIA bloc party leader KC Tyagi claimed in an exclusive interview with a news channel that Nitish Kumar was offered the PM’s post.
The remarks came in the midst of speculation that the INDIA bloc is trying to get Nitish Kumar back into the alliance in a bid to stop the NDA from forming the government for a record third term.
This is notwithstanding the fact that Tyagi, had made it clear thatJDU rejected all offers from the opposition and plans to support and work with the NDA for the next five years.
Tyagi articulated that Nitish Kumar’s speech in support of PM Modi has put to rest all the speculations under circulation and that these reports should have stopped when JDU) collaborated with NDA.
Tyagi further went on to add that they were hurt by the way Congress and its allies treated their leader, and had to choose a different path. Those who took it for granted that Nitish Kumar wasn’t worthy of being the alliance’s convenor are now offering him the PM’s post. But already, the JDU has rejected all such offers.
The main demand made by the 73-year-old is to be granted a special status to for the development of Bihar.

Senior INDIA leaders, including former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, suggested an olive branch might be extended to Nitish Kumar.

With both sides locked in talks over ministerial berth allocation, reportedly, the BJP brass was given to understand to remember that Nitish Kumar had walked out of the INDIA bloc over delays in naming him as its Convenor.
Sources also reveal that JDU will be allotted two key posts in the new cabinet after PM Modi takes oath on 9 June.The party proposed name of two senior leaders, Lalan Singh and Ram Nath Thakur. Lalan Singh was elected to the Lok Sabha from Bihar’s Munger, while Ram Nath Thakur is a Rajya Sabha MP and son of Bharat Ratna awardee Karpoori.
