Notedly, Farida has essayed some exceptional roles. With her performance in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial Heeramandi, as grandmother to
Taha Shah Badussha she won
the hearts of cinegoers and her fans.
The actress also shared that she was getting motherly roles at a very young age. In an interview she opened up on how, when she returned with Heena, she had played Rishi Kapoor’s mother and amidst Laadla, Anil Kapoor felt she was too young to play his mom.
She went on to reveal that when she was doing Laadla, Anil would stop the shot in between… he is such a sweetheart, he would say he couldn’t feel her as a mother.
There was a song ‘Teri Ungli Pakad Kar Chala’, and he would ask to cut the shot and say, she is too young. Such was actor Anil Kapoor. He shows a lot of respect to senior actors.
