“Welcome To The Jungle” postponed to 2025 release due to VFX
As of now uncertainty of the success with small budget films like Munjya and Srikanth doing well at the box-office, big budgeted movies like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Maidaan, and Chandu Champion have proved a debacle at the box-office. Leave alone the makers, the distributors and
exhibitors too are placed in a very tight spot.
High hopes were pinned on movies like Singham Again, Stree 2, and Welcome To The Jungle to bring back success to the industry.
But now, Singham 3 is set to release on Diwali, and Stree 2 on August 15. Ironically, Welcome To The Jungle has been delayed until next year.
Ahmed Khan’s directorial Welcome To The Jungle, was initially slated for Christmas 2024 release, clashing with Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par.
It’s not only the film fraternity, but even Akshay Kumar had high expectations from Welcome To The Jungle, which is the third part of the popular Welcome series. The first movie in 2007 was a huge hit and is still loved by many.
As per sources the film is being made on massive scale and the first shooting schedule, which was in May in Aarey involved the entire cast, but there are more schedules and significant VFX work left.
Owing to such reasons, the December 2024 release date seems unlikely. The trade experts were predicting a minimum collection of 300 crores net for Welcome To The Jungle if it released this year on Christmas.
