Renowned South filmmaker Gopichand Malineni collaborates with Sunny Deol for his upcoming action thriller
SDGM. Production house Mythri Movie Makers announced the news on Thursday morning on social media.
Gopichand is acknowledged for blockbuster films Bodyguard, Balupu, Krack, and Veera Simha Reddy, and now is all set for an exciting prokect that promises high-voltage action and drama.
Notedly Gopichand comes into limelight for his collaboration with a Bollywood star after Shah Rukh Khan-Atlee and Salman Khan-AR Murugadoss.
While launching the announcement poster for the project, the makers revealed that camera for the shoot will roll soon.
Meanwhile, the Gadar actor also shared the announcement poster on his Instagram page.
The upcoming project, which has been called the biggest action film in the country, is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory.
Cinematographer Rishi Punjabi and art director Avinash Kolla are part of the technical team.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sunny Deol was last seen in Gadar 2. The movie was the sequel to his 2001 film Gadar, alongside Ameesha Patel. Both films emerged as massive commercial successes.
As of now, Sunny is on shoot for director Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947, produced by Sunny and Aamir Khan’s productions. Preity Zinta will play a vital role in the film. Sunny Deol also has Border 2 in the pipeline. It is anticipated for a theatrical release next year.
On the other hand, following after the thumping success of Veera Simha Reddy, director Gopichand Malineni announced a project with Ravi Teja. Reports of the project being shelved after just a month of its announcement started circulating.
The reasons quoted were related to budget issues and the expenses that shot up due to the remuneration of the stars and technicians on the team. However, there has been no official confirmation from the team as of now.
