Warda Khan tied the knot with popular producer Sajid Nadiadwala in 2000. Salman Khan too was supposed to tie the knot on the same date, but changed his mind.

has been one of the most debatable topics in the industry even as the actor has always been tranquil about it, there was a time when he was all set to enter marital bliss.
Warda Nadiadwala, wife of filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, recently opened up on an interesting anecdote related to her wedding day with the filmmaker. Warda recalled how Salman Khan too was supposed to wed on the same day as their wedding, but the superstar ditched them at the end minute.
Im the midst of a media interaction, Warda Nadiadwala revealed, that it was the day after their wedding that she got to know about it and she had asked Sajid, what was that he and Salman were talking about you guys were whispering something into each other’s ears and then you both were laughing.’ There was a long banter between them on stage.
So it was the next day, he told her that both were supposed to get married on the same day but he backed out. He (Salman) was saying Grandson, the car is at the back, let’s run away.’ He was very sweet. He greeted him on stage and congratulated her. Then it hit me, ‘Oh, so this is what you guys were talking, ‘Let’s go grandson, the car is parked behind us’. This is what they were talking about. Sajid revealed to her all this only the next day.
When asked who was he going to marry, Warda laughed and said, they have revealed it all on Kapil Sharma’s show. She just knew that she was the girl for Sajid Nadiadwala and she got lost and excited that she was getting married.
She then recalled, “Later, she was making this video for Sajid where she interviewed all his friends, even amidst that Salman Khan told all that ‘Grandson I told you that there was a car behind us, let’s elope, you didn’t listen to me.’ Warda was standing right there when he was saying all this.
In 2019, Sajid Nadiadwala too had opened up about this situation on the Kapil Sharma’s show. He recalled, “Salman already had a girl,and he had to find one for himself. She told her mother and family to find a girl for her , as she and Salman planned to get married on the same day. His father Salim sir’s anniversary falls on November 18, so we though we can tie the knot on the same date.”
He added, “Just 5-6 days before the date, he said ‘he is in no mood, but managed to change his mind. Then he came on stage during her wedding, and whispered in her ears, that there is a car waiting outside, change your mind too and run away’.
In another interview, Salman Khan revealed that he was all set to tie the knot with Sangeeta Bijlani. However, he got cold feet and called off the wedding.
Sajid Nadiadwala, on the other hand, who was married to Divya Bharti, tied the knot with Warda Khan in 2000 following the sudden mysterious death of his first wife Divya Bharti in 1993.
