Team India received a rousing welcome from the Mumbai cricket lovers when they landed in Mumbai for an event to celebrate victory in the ICC T20 World Cup.

The team was handed over a cash reward of whopping Rs. 125 crore
Confetti shower began with
‘We are the champions’ blaring from the speaker.

The players soon take a lap with autographed tennis balls launched into the stands. Captain Rohit Sharma lauded the cricket fans who turned out in large number saying Mumbai never disappoints. We got a solid reception. He thanked the fans on behalf of the team,

Later Rohit dedicated the T20 World Cup title to entire nation
amidst the felicitation ceremony held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday late evening.

Notedly, the spirit of Mumbai, the city that never sleeps came alive as it embraced the T20 World Cup heroes
A water cannon saluted the team at the airport and the team bus struggled to make its way through a sea of humanity at the Marine Drive. A few lakh people had waited outside the Wankhede Stadium to have a peek of their favourite cricketers.

The open-bus parade was a treat to watch. Even the rain God looked favourable to the men in blue and the sea of humanity.

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah taking to his Instagram wrote
“It was an honour to be invited to our honourable Prime Minister’s residence this morning. Thank you so much for your warmth and hospitality sir. 🇮🇳”

Sports Editor Off-side wrote “Thanks for the memories, Team India”
“Our joy is no less than that of the players who made it possible, and our umbilical link to the moment is no less than theirs”.
