Mumbai was lashed by incessant rain early Monday morning with some areas receiving over 300 mm of rainfall in just six hours from
1 am to 7 am. The heavy rain led to the diversion and cancellation of several trains.

As a result, commuters faced daunting challenges getting to their workplaces, with widespread train delays
Impacting all parts of the city.

Many roads turned into stream and peak-hour traffic and particularly office-goers were badly hit owing to flooding in many areas. Due to waterlogging on the railway tracks, all the three rail lines were impacted. Areas such as Milan Subway Andheri Subway, Dahisar Subway, LBS Road, Sakinaka 90 Feet Road, Matunga, Western Express Highway, Mahalaxmi, Dadar, Mahim, Dharavi, Parel, Shivaji Park, King’s Circle, Kurla, Vidyavihar, Chembur, Andheri, Mulund, Dahisar, and other locations saw severe waterlogging.
