Given that it rained pretty heavily in July, the seven reservoirs supplying water to the city has touched 81.96
per cent.
On Saturday, the BMC recorded overall lake levels of 11,86,197 million litres or 81.96 per cent of capacity. In comparison, the levels were 77.96 per cent during the same period in 2023 and 89.06 per cent in 2022.
Mumbai’s water comes from the Tulsi, Tansa, Vihar, Bhatsa, Modak Sagar, Upper Vaitarna, and Middle Vaitarna reservoirs.
