Sanjay Dutt slams UK Govt for rejecting his visa despite payment
Sanjay Dutt eventually came down heavily on the UK Government for rejecting his UK Visa despite having made the payments thereof. UK Government had cited the reason for rejecting for criminal records.
A few days ago, there were reports that Sanjay was replaced by actor-politician Ravi Kishan in “Son of Sardaar 2” since he wasn’t able to travel to Scotland for shoot due to visa rejection. Strongly reacting to the last minute rejection, the actor voiced that what the UK government has done is just not right and fair and calling himself
a law-abiding citizen.
In the midst of an interaction with the media, Sanjay articulated that he knew one thing that the UK government did not do the right thing. They gave him the Visa (initially). All the necessary payments were made in UK. When everything was ready a month later, they cancelled his Visa! He told the UK Government that he had submitted all relevant papers. ave you all the papers and .Why did they give him the Visa (in the first place)? They shouldn’t have given him the visa. How come it took one month to realise the laws?
Sanjay further reiterated that he respects every country’s laws and urged the UK government to ‘rectify’ this. He also stated that he has no qualms over not being a part of the project.
There are many riots happening there and even the Indian government has issued a statement that he shouldn’t visit UK. Hence, he is not missing out on anything. But yes, they have done wrong. They need to rectify this.
Sanjay is a law-abiding citizen and goes according to the law, and respects every country’s law.
A source recalls that since his arrest in 1993, Sanjay had applied for a UK visa multiple times but never got one.
On August 7, Ajay Devgn and the makers of Son of Sardaar 2 announced the commencement of the film.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sanjay is gearing up for the release of Double iSmart. His film Ghudchadi, with Raveena Tandon, released on an OTT platform on August 9.
