Even as big budget films with ensemble cast has been proving a debacle at the box-office, interestingly, the not so high- budget Mahesh Babu and Sonali Bendre starrer
“Murari” released in 2001 turned out to be a massive blockbuster back then. Now the fans are celebrating the film once again after almost two decades. On the occasion of Mahesh’s birthday this year, the team planned the film’s re-release.

Interestingly, the film has scripted a new record in its re-release. If reports are believed to be true, the movie has made a massive collection at the box office. As per sources, in terms of re-release, Murari has emerged as the highest grossed Telugu and has made the telugu film fraternity, the distributors, exhibitors and the cast and crew of the film to bask in the glory of its success..

In just two days, the film seems to have grossed over 7.4 crore rupees. Earlier, Mahesh’s re-releases of Okkadu and Pokiri also earned a very good collection at the box office by generating decent revenues for the distributors.

The film is having a run for some more days and the team is anticipating that the families would flock to the cinema halls in huge numbers.
