Ram Charan props Karan Johar for SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali” triumph
At the Indian Festival at Melbourne, Australia, Legendary actor Ram Charan while speaking about South Indian films getting recognition across the globe owed a debt of gratitude to filmmaker Karan Johar for distributing Baahubali across North and being responsible for the film getting a global appeal.
No doubt Rajamouli has made a mindblowing movie Baahubali, and Prabhas got all the credit. But there is one person who many not be knowing who was responsible for enabling the film to get global recognition and he is none other than renowned filmmaker Karan Johar. He recollected his friend Rana jetting-off to Mumbai to screen the film to Karan Johar. And it was Karan who took the film across India and became a pioneer for South Indian films to get recognition at National and International levels. After that, South Indian films never looked back.
Karan Johar took the rights of Baahubali back then and it was a gamechanging move for Telugu films getting wider release outside South India.
On the work front, Ram Charan will next be seen in Shankar’s Gamechanger. Post that, he has a film in the direction of Buchi Babu Sana.
