Ajay Devgn stalls Kajol’s film ‘Maa’
This film was originally scheduled to release during the Pujo-break in October.
It’s known in the industry that Ajay Devgn is a proactive filmmaker and husband as well. The actor who is making his superstar wife Kajol’s next horror-thriller, Vishal Furia’s directorial “Maa”, has reportedly moved the film forward from its original release date that was to coincide with the Durga Puja celebrations.
“Maa” has certain ‘supernatural’ elements and it talks of a mother’s strength and victory. Earlier, Ajay himself had felt that Durga Puja was the appropriate time to release the film keeping in mind the
significance of the Goddess’ strength and victory.
Not to forget the Mukherjees, Kajol’s family celebrate Durga Puja year by year in traditional spirit.
However, it is learned that the reason for the delay in releasing this Ronit Roy-Kajol venture is that reportedly there was a small reshoot and also the VFX needed a lot more work because Ajay requires the highest quality.
Ajay is much involved is in the production, that he even got Sandeep Francis, the editor of his movie Raid-2 to ‘halt’ further work on his own film and take over the editing of Kajol’s Maa.
According to an insider, Ajay desires Maa to be slick and to create maximum impact.
With horror-thrillers and horror-comedies emerging popular and current trend, the film trade looks forward to ‘May’ 2025 release.
