Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut sparked a row among her workmates in Bollywood , especially following Deepika Padukone’s debut with her own film.

While Sonam Kapoor aspired to work in Hollywood, she made a note that she would take different route than Priyanka and Deepika.

Amidst a throwback interview in 2016, Sonam had said that she admired how Priyanka built her career and acknowledges Deepika’s involvement in Hollywood.

However, she prefers a different approach and desires to work with an agency as she did in India and focus on films that truly interest her. Highlighting on her early career, she recognized that she took on any opportunity but learned to pursue projects that she’s is passionate about.

The actress, who recently appeared in Blind, announced her comeback to filming soon, with shooting set to begin next year.

Though details remain under wraps, Sonam voiced her excitement on staging a comeback and face the camera after her pregnancy. She enjoys the acting process and the opportunity to explore diverse characters, eagerly anticipating her next role.

Sonam shared that her plans are afoot to stage a comeback to the sets early next year. Though details on the project are still under finalization she can’t discuss it extensively yet, she hinted it to be a significant project. For now, that’s all she can reveal.

The actress was last seen in the 2023 crime thriller Blind, a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name. The Shome Makhija directorial is produced by Sujoy Ghosh, and marks her return to the screen after a six-year hiatus since The Zoya Factor.
